[New] Access to this website is currently not possible as your hostname/IP appears suspicous?
Full Board URL: http://www.emuglx.org/emuforums/
XMB Version: 1.9.10
Hi there,
(sorry if my grammar isn't perfect, i don't write and speak English language perfectly)
First of all - i know that this kind of question have already been on these forums, but my situation is a little bit specific, because i'm having my
net on the college, so i can't edit nothing of proxy and IP settings and administrator on that forum cannot turn off IP check script in config.php
file because of security reasons.
I can't access to: http://www.emuglx.org/emuforums/
Keep getting message not in forum, but in browser: Access to this website is currently not possible as your hostname/IP appears suspicous? I'm sure
that you know what i'm talking about.
Do someone knows how to resolve this i.e. how to access to this forum?
Thanks in advance!

I can access the forum just fine.
Is this a new forum? Just installed?
Because it's an older version..
Btw. The IP check... Can be turned off safely. It doesn't add that much.
Maybe you are using IPv6 on your network and no IPv4...?

No, it's not new, forum that is, it is over 10 years old, actually it have been shifted to XMB platform about 2 years ago.
Ok, so there is no big risk when IP check is turned off?

The IP check, checks for a valid IPv4 address.
If you have XMB installed on your own internal webserver... And you use only IPv6 on your network ... You won't be able to see your forum.
It's safe to remove that line, yes.

No, there is no IPv6, everything is on IPv4.

Add this to the top of your header.php file
Then visit your forum. And tell us what you see there.
| Code: | | echo 'Remote address: '.$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']; exit; |
After you told us, remove this line again from your header.php.
